10 Different Types of Coffee Explained

Navigating a modern cafe menu is much easier once you understand the basic ingredients. Most popular coffee drinks are simply variations of espresso mixed with different ratios of steamed milk, water, or foam.
Espresso: A highly concentrated, bold shot of coffee.
Americano: A standard espresso shot diluted with hot water.
Macchiato: A shot of espresso topped with a small dollop of milk foam.
Cappuccino: Equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and thick milk foam.
